Appearance
Bright, clear, light scarlet with purple hints.
Nose
Dense stewed black plums, with cinnamon and clove spices. Some cedar and chocolate hints.
Palate
Medium bodied, soft, warm and round. Sweet, spicy, concentrated dark fruit - stewed plums - with faint hints of liquorice and powdery cedar. Mild acidity, soft tannins.
Overall
Pleasant, packed with fruit and easy to drink. Arguably lacking in structure but at this price, that would hardly be a fair criticism.
